A journey to remember

Image

Journeys can be a lot fun especially on Indian trains. On my recent traverse from my place - Visakhapatnam to Hyderabad, I was having my own doubts about my co-travellers as my previous traverse from Bangalore to Visakhapatnam was one you wish you never took. My co-travellers never stopped talking about — "The Art of Living"?????. From one Swami to another Guruji, their talk lasted right through the night. Even when somebody switched off the ‘light’, one lady started about the ‘divine-light’ of a particular Guruji :~!

The previous journey has been a delight. I met ‘Sidhu’ - the cute kid in the photo which I snapped using my Macbook. From various species of fish in the Bay of Bengal (Visakhapatnam has a beautiful beach) to the recent Mars Lander to Madonna and ghosts - he talked about everything and I - had a journey to remember. We had a heated debate whether a sword is better than an arrow to kill a person (We actually watched the movie Gladiator and that is how it all started). I debated on the arrow side and he - on the sword-side;). Sad, time flew quick and I, at the end of the journey was left with his number (Yes, he has a mobile already!) .

PS: May be Ektha Kapoor - the Telesoap queen of Indian Television should send her writers on long train journeys if she doesn’t have stories for her TV shows rather than using a poor girl’s (Aarushi’s) tragedy. She is bound to get loads of family-masala stuff.
