Firefox 3 might be raining records and might have a plethora of new features and may have plugged the memory leaks but the ‘awesome bar’ which Mozilla calls its address bar in its new Firefox 3 browser might be annoying for some users. Here’s how to get back your old Firefox 2 address bar sans the annoyance.

You can use a manual hack or use a free plugin to do that.

1. Manual Hack

Type about:config in the address bar and set browser.urlbar.matchOnlyTyped to true. Just double click to change.

2. Oldbar Plugin

 Install the free Oldbar Plugin and restart Firefox.
