Microsoft Windows XP users must be well aware of the fact that Microsoft released Service Pack 3 (SP3) Final a couple of weeks ago. XP SP3 fixes a range of bugs and adds new features to Windows XP. The update can be applied to any version of Windows XP Home, Professional, TabletPC or Media Center(32 bit only). So, whats special or a "MUST" install in SP3?

If you ever used a Unix or Mac OS X machine, you will definitely miss the wonderful virtual desktop functionality in the Windows OS for a clutter free productive desktop environment.  Now you get 20 virtual desktops on Windows too and that too for free!

If the Virtual Desktop functionality did not make any sense or you did not use either a Unix or Mac system earlier don’t worry, I will explain it to you in the next few lines. If you know, you can jump to the next paragraph.

Imagine this. As you keep on working on your system, you open a number of windows of different applications for different projects/tasks. You might be browsing as well as editing a video or playing a game at the same time. As you go on, all the windows and projects pile up. So how do you keep order when projects pile up? Often we take pictures with our megapixelled hi-definition camera enabled mobile phones and megapixel cameras. The problem pops up when you want to share those pictures with your friends via email or online photoalbums like Picasa or Snapfish. The problem - the filesize. There is a quick and easy way to cut down the file size upto 60% -70% in a flash. No downloads required.

After copying the pictures from the camera to your harddisk, note the filesize of the image. Now , open the picture in Paint (Click Start >> All Programs >> Accessories >> Paint) and just click File >> Save. Thats it! Now,check the file size. Now zip it & zap it.
